Voor de HKU heb ik het SXSW Music festival in Austin-Texas bezocht. Opvallend dat er veel over \u2018music technology\u2019 wordt gesproken maar, afhankelijk van de panels, in een andere betekenis dan de traditionele \u2018studio hardware en software\u2019. Dat loopt uiteen van muziektechnologie in de context van \u2018social media and record labels\u2019, muziektechnologie in de context van \u2018music festivals and online festival experience\u2019, muziektechnologie in de context van \u2018networked collaboration\u2019, muziektechnologie in de context van \u2018artist-fan relation\u2019, enzovoort. Razend interessant, een trip waar ik veel nieuwe idee\u00ebn uit onverwachte hoek heb opgedaan. Daarnaast ook een leuke ontmoeting: twee alumni geven al jaren les Audio Production op BSc niveau aan een Arts Institute in Austin, en daar heb ik mee bijgepraat.<\/p>\n
